Sesame Green Beans

 

The green beans are a good source of complex carbohydrates and very nutritious with lots of B vitamins, the sesame seeds are also healthy fats.

500g frozen green beans

100g sesame seeds

1 teaspoon Sea salt

1/4 teaspoon Black pepper

Water to cover green beans

Method:

Preheat oven at 200 degrees, place frozen green beans in a pot with salt and pepper, and fill pot to cover green beans with water, put on a high flame to cook, as soon as you see the water boiling properly switch off the flame and pour the contents into  a colander and then into a bowl.

Place the sesame seeds in a baking tray, on a baking sheet and place in the oven for about 10 minutes, to toast, remove from the oven and toss over the green beans. This is really nice warm, but can be enjoyed cold
